Monday 7 March 2016

A number of employees who recently joined the Company from around the branch network, visited our Head Office in Newry to receive an insight into Company operations. Employees were welcomed to the site with tea, coffee and bacon rolls. This was especially appreciated by those who had an early start.

Managing Director, David Haldane, welcomed everyone with key Managers in Newry giving an overview of their roles. The morning continued with a tour of the site, led by Gary Cranney, site Director for Newry. Employees got a real insight into the entire operation in Newry from our new Sawmill machinery installed in December, the production of our Roof Trusses, the Door Re-processing plant and introduction to the office teams that provide support to the branches.

The day was finished off with lunch before everyone left for their respective branches.  Employees commented that they found the day “enjoyable”, “beneficial to talk to staff in Newry” and “didn’t realise the sheer size and scale of the Company”. The day was a great successful and we plan to follow this up with another date in April.
