Haldane Fisher invests in Weinig's Powermat moulder technology
Apr 07, 2010
Haldane Fisher and GE Robinson invest in Weinig's latest moulding machinery systems, to provide a full, flexible and competitive service to their customers.
The company has impressive dedicated timber planing and moulding facilities and has invested over a million pounds with Weinig in the last two years.
The group believes their success has come from providing a full timber service, offering imported and home grown specification along with the latest planing and cross-cutting facilities. David Haldane says, "In the current difficult trading conditions we need to offer a fast and flexible service to our customers and having the right equipment to do the job is vital. Weinig's new technology machines have improved our production efficiency and versatility still further and our customers will notice a quicker response to orders placed."
The most recent Weinig equipment installed at Newry is Powermat 1000, linked to the toolroom and prepared for mechanical handling. Also new is a 960 semi-automatic profile grinder and a 980 fully automatic straight knife grinder with face grinding for dedicated heads, bringing our toolroom facilities to the most advanced standard, including the existing computer Opti-Control measuring stand. Similar Weinig technology is also installed in GE Robinson.
Combined with Weinig's dedicated back-up service and comprehensive operator training, the Powermat system offers all the advantages of a new generation planer/moulder over conventional moulders - providing two to three times the performance in production without compromising on quality.
