Machined Timber

We machine Softwood timber in our sawmills using the latest milling techniques and machinery, to bring you the full range of second fix timber products including door frames, skirting and architraves. Download our Halmac profile leaflet for our stock machined profiles, however, we can customise profiles according to your requirements.

Softwood
We offer Redwood and Whitewood as a sawn product for joinery purposes or as a planed/profiled product. As a rule of thumb if the wood is to be visible Redwood will be used due to its preferred aesthetic qualities and if the wood is to be concealed /painted whitewood will be used due to its lower cost.

Hardwood
There are two main machined species which are available to our customers: American White Oak and Sapele (Mahogany). These are held in two key profiles but specific patterns are available on request. A wide range of other species are available, on request, such as Iroko, Cherry, Ash and Red Oak.
